Reactor with LEDs - WIP #2

It's still on my desk and closer to the finishline!
Biggest issue was priming. Not because I didn't know but it was too cold to prime outside. And because patience is not my friend, I spent half an hour cleaning my airbrush from crusty paint, few minutes of priming all parts black and then cleaning for half an hour again.
Step one so far...

Grand vs. War Convocation

Once again, I don't get it. Maybe someone can help me.
Since Saturday Fall of Cadia is out and there's as new AdMech-Formation call "Grand Convocation".
It's Decurion-Style and you get some nice bonuses like "It will not die" for vehicle and knights. And, if you choose to use fill up all slots you get "Canticles of the Omnissiah" for everybody.

Reactor with LEDs - WIP #1

I'm always amazed by things that move and blink. That's why I thought about combining a Warhammer kit with LEDs for a while. Unfortunately I'm pretty bad at electronics. Okay, to be realistic: I've no clue.
I came across a company (I guess it's a one man shop) called Fallout Hobbies who sell LED kits more or less ready to use and stencils.
And because I also not that much into making stencils I placed a combined order of LEDs and stencils after Thanksgiving.
It arrived around New Year which was perfect becaus I just finished my Death Korps.

My painting place transformed into a workbench because I want to make the new Warhammer Reactors light up and blink.

Finished Krieg Squad and Tutorial

I'm done with my first squad of Death Korps of Krieg.
The second half got much quicker painted than the first half.
And I was really humbled when I was asked on Instagram to tell how I painted my guys.

So here we go...

121st Regiment - The Snow Whites

I painted a lot of stuff last year.
What I didn't paint were my Death Korps of Krieg I primed last winter. They stood around all black for a whole year.
As usual it was a question of how to paint them. Not to mention that there's a whole box in my room full auf Kriegsmen.
If you look up DKoK on the internet you mostly find brown, grey and dark green ones. And maybe it's already known that I don't like to have miniatures like everybody else.
So I really decided to go with the winter-theme I testpainted in May.
I call it the 121st Regiment "The Snow Whites"
